Best Maine Lobsters, My Lobster Obsession
Have I ever talked about my obsession for LOBSTER? Where are the Best Maine Lobsters? Maine is the place to have lobster for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I went out to find photos and where the best Maine lobsters are?
One morning, I roped my daughter into going for a drive at 6:30 am. Since she has traveled with me before, she knows this is my favorite time to go out to take pictures. She was exhausted from taking care of Hudson, her baby, but she humored me. We hunted for anything lobster.
Obsession, Best Maine Lobsters Found
We went as far as we could in 2.5 hours. And get this, she even stops so I can take pictures. Most people get annoyed with me – she even suggests photo opportunities. She’ll say, ‘Mom, do you want to take a picture of that or this?’ She makes a great photo assistant (PA) because its hard to drive and look for the shot. Having a designated driver makes it easier to take pictures. Probably, not a good idea to try and take pictures and drive. Walking and taking photos is also a terrible idea. I have seen a lot of accidents when tourists do this.
First, we stop at a lobster pond – some of the boats here go out to fish for lobsters. The fleet isn’t as big as it once was, but there is still an active fishing community in this area. Most of the fisherman make more money taking tourists out on their lobster boats, or dories. If fishing is a passion, this might be something that interesting to do while on vacation.

Lobsters Everywhere
Within a short amount of time, it was evident lobsters are everywhere. I could eat them, buy them, fish for them and shop for lobster knick knacks. Most restaurants serve lobster. Blueberry pies are also big in this area because Maine is the land of blueberries. Everywhere I went I ordered lobster rolls, lobster bisque, boiled lobsters, blueberry pie and corn on the cob. I loved every bite. I couldn’t wait for my next lobster roll. One place in Perkins Cove at the end of the street even offer two lobsters for $17.00 – Unfortunately, I didn’t have time or meals to try all the lobster restaurants.

I ate at Barnacle Bill’s. How can I not eat there with a name like that? I had to try the lobster! The lobster rolls were GREAT!
The people are super friendly here. At Barnacle Bill’s, a tourist asked me to take his picture. I guess vacation time makes people very friendly. Smile, snap, and there he goes. He didn’t want a copy; he just wanted me to photograph him. I don’t think he knows, what he is getting into now; he is on a blog!
Be careful, wishes come true.

Fox’s Lobster House: 8 Sohier Park Road, York Beach, ME 03910
I ate at Fox’s for about half of my meals. The ice cream, the blueberry pie, and the Best Maine LOBSTER, I’ve eaten, delicious. We bought our lobster to go, for a vacation lobster bake, they can do about anything that has to do with lobsters. Fox’s also has live lobsters. The have carry-out picnics, quick treats and sit down casual dining. I loved this place, and it’s very casual, just what I want when I am on holiday.
After dinner, we watched the sunset and took photos of this iconic location.
I did annoy my daughter and her husband. Taking too many pictures of them is very annoying. But, they are so cute and that little Hudson, adorable! I just couldn’t help myself. My camera made me do it. My camera fetish must be why I couldn’t bring my camera to their wedding.
Aren’t they adorable? They humor me. I love them for their patience. Of course, after one death glance by KC, I stopped.
