Chinese Terracotta Warriors Visit Seattle
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, took a great fall, and all the King’s horsemen couldn’t but him back together again. Lucky for us, the Chinese Terracotta Warriors are back together again. We are fortunate to see insights into the Emporer’s world, Chinese culture, and art through the restored Chinese Terracotta Warriors that are now on display in an intimate new show at the Science Center in Seattle. The exhibition is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Chinese Terracotta Warriors. This world premiere opened in March Previously the only way to see the Chinese Terracotta Warriors was to visit China. The exhibition is open now through September with a special event for 21+ Exhibition on May 11th. When the show closes, it moves to Philidelphia then back to China.
I love this exhibition and highly recommend it. The show is a must-see. event
Chinese Terracotta Warriors Exhibition
For this show I purchased the entrance pass, Imax movie pass, so we had background on the show. Additionally, I also, recommend buying the Audio headphones that explain the exhibition. They were very useful. My day started by meeting Rhonda at my home. We took a taxi into Seattle because we didn’t want to deal with the traffic and parking. At the center, we ate at
My day started by meeting Rhonda at my home. We took a taxi into Seattle because we didn’t want to deal with the traffic and parking. At the center, we ate at Chihuly Garden and Glass and Collections Cafe. I am not one of those people who lusts after my friend’s food. However, I think, Rhonda’s dish looked better than mine. But, we both agreed from what we saw, the Panne sandwich looks to us like the best thing to order.
Location is Everything
While at the Seattle Science Center take advantage of the sights, such as the Space Needle and other shows at the center. I believe the center offers some of the best photo ops of the Space Needle, the best views for people watchers and a place to stroll and relax. The open-air souvenir shops and gifts are pretty tacky. But, look on the bright side, they can be a fun window shopping experience.
After seeing the Imax movie, we entered the show. I was surprised how fast everyone was moving, pushing a rushing around. I don’t typically think of Seattle people as being pushy, but today the crowd was fairly aggressive. After all, the Warriors weren’t going away or heading off to war, until Septemeber. But, once the crowd left the building – the show is a relaxed environment, well lite and very interesting. The Audio headset covers the history, background and interesting facts about 17 of the artifacts on displays.

Chinese Terracotta Warriors — Bride Shot
When I travel, I consider myself very lucky and fortunate on that day if I see a bride shot. A bride shot is when I see a wedding party, marriage under way or photo op of a bride and groom. Well, today was a magnificent, fortunate lucky day. Rhonda spotted my bride shot, and we got it. The couple was laughing and having professional photos taken. They were eatting blue cotton candy and feeding it to each other like most bride and grooms feed each other wedding cake. Their laughter and joy was a great end to a beautiful day.
