Everyone should visit Galway Ireland for a nostalgic view of memory lane. The adorable town and a fun place to visit. The Celtic ambiance of Galway Ireland makes visitors happy when they arrive and walk down the streets. Let me show you some of the adorable Irish Celtic scenes of Galway Ireland.
Why Should Everyone Visit Galway Ireland?
When you look up Galway’s river, described merely as a small river, it is the heart of the city. If you can stay on the river as I did, it makes a lovely location. However, the river essential is the essence of Galway. The River Corrib (Irish: Abhainn na Gaillimhe) in west Ireland, flows from Lough Corrib through Galway the town.
At Galway Bay, the river empties into the Atlantic. The river is one of the shortest in Europe. Only six kilometers starting at the Lough Corrib, the river ends by pouring into the Atlantic ocean.
The Center of Galway, Ireland
As visitors walk down the street, the street vendors will tease them for a laugh. Galway is a quintessential Irish town. Most memorable for me is The River Corrb, which runs through Galway, giving the town character. The river’s fortified banks make it the perfect spot for tourists to stroll. Your journey through Ireland will be enhanced as you walk, enjoy the shops, eat at the Irish (and all types of food) at the restaurants with quick service.
The tourists’ love the adorable town for the cute shops, the Irish flavor of the city, and the friendly ambiance.
Galway Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Historic Port
Since the town is on the North Atlantic, it was once a fishing village, and the harbor still is home to small boats. Walking down this street I realized that the old docks make the town quaint and picturesque. Galway has an interesting history that brought different cultural influence which makes the town very unique today.
As the hjome of Oscar Wilde, you can sit and chat with him in Galway. Unfortuneately you wont get a reply back.

Romantic River Promenade
The river flowing through the city is managed by a dike system to control the water flow and to avoid flooding. However, the waterway provides a great place to relax, wander, and rest as a fisherman, romantic lovers stroll, and residents use it as a through-fare to reach parts of the town.
Along sections of the river were restaurants, shops, and pubs. It is easy to relax and spend a love time in Galway, in the small little village town that captures the many flavors of Ireland, all in one place.
Gorgeous Irish Architecture
Galway demonstrated many types of historical Irish architecture throughout the town. Galway captures the many cultures that influenced the city. From the Spanish who once occupied it to the Irish Celtic influence, the influences from times long ago to modern Ireland are here in one cute village.
Style Through the Ages in Galway
One of my favorite architectural elements that I admired is the colored doors. On one building, you can see how the Irish maintain their independence by picking a door and color that fits each owners taste. No standardized is here — each person expressing their uniqueness and individuality. I have to admire their independence and how associations don’t over-regulate style, taste, and individuality.

I enjoyed the walk along the Wild Atlantic. The light changes continually, which made it fun for me, a photographer.
Since the Famine influences, the people of Ireland take the walk and listen to the free guide that explains the Famine walk in Galway.
