She worked in Istanbul for Microsoft and was able to live there for a short while. Kate traveled to the UNESCO sites and to feel and taste what it was like to be traveling alone while being emersed in this culture.
She saw the countryside, towns, cities, and took private car rides from location to locations. She photographed everyday life. More importantly, she enjoyed the culture through the eyes and hospitality of the people.
The most interesting travel tip is that license plates with a W on it are cars worth noting because you are in a secret service vehicle – I didn’t know my car was marked by the letter.
Lastly, the country is inexpensive by western standards, all of Eastern Europe is a great value.
